Kellie Martin (born Kellie Marien) is well-known American actress. She has starred in numerous TV shows, such as "Christy", a comedy about a teenage girl named Christy Huddleston. In addition, she is famous for her role as the lead in the Hailey Dean Mystery. Martin is born to a department store purchaser and kindergarten teacher began her career acting at the age of seven when her aunt who served as a nanny to Michael Landon's kids assisted Martin get a part in the 1982 series "Father Murphy". Martin began her professional acting career following her graduation from Yale University. This led to her being offered major roles both in the television and film industries. Martin is also a photographer and a dancer. She is a mother of two. Martin is the spokesperson for the nation for Lupus and has been frequently spreading awareness regarding the disease following the death of her sister at just 19.
